ANYTHING GOES (2018)
Anything Goes is a hilarious shipboard romp, complete with showgirls, sailors, romance—and a few cases of mistaken identity—all set to Cole Porter’s snazzy score. Set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American en route from New York to England, the story centers around nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and her good pal Billy Crocker, who has stowed away to be near his true love, the debutante Hope Harcourt. But there’s a problem. Hope is already engaged to the wealthy British aristocrat Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.
