Who is eligible to audition?

Anyone can audition for a lead or speaking role.

However, the ensemble — which is the bulk of the cast—will be cast with members of the “Woodland Park community.”

The “Woodland Park community” is defined as having one or more of the following:

1) Current or former staff, parent/guardian or former student (over 16) of West Woodland Elementary School

2) Live within the WPP defined Geo-Zone, which is the area:
• south of N. 80th St.
• west of Aurora Ave N/SR-99
• north of N. 50th St.
• east of 8th Ave NW
3) Member of WPP’s inaugural cast (2016 Oklahoma!)

What are the available roles and responsibilities of those roles?

Ensemble (minimum 2 scenes, smallest commitment):

Eligibility

• To be eligible to audition for the ensemble, you must be a member of the “Woodland Park community”, as defined above.

Responsibilities

• Once selected, you must commit to the rehearsal schedule and sign a “commitment statement” at our WPP Mandatory Business Meeting, December 5, 2016.
• Annual Dues: Ensemble members must pay annual family dues of $40 for the first adult member, plus $10 for each additional adult; 3)
• Ticket sales • Ensemble members commit to selling at least 10 tickets (total) for the performances on March 17 and 18 (2 performances).
In the event that we have more “Woodland Park community” members audition than we have parts, final casting decision will be at director’s discretion. In the event you are NOT cast in this year’s production, please know there is a place for you in the Woodland Park Players! We need lots of help behind the scenes---sets, costumes, props, lighting, craft services, ad sales, front of the house, etc.  And if you join the crew and audition again next year, you will be considered with higher priority.
